Overview

BankiBites is a multi-restaurant food delivery Android application developed by AKCreation Apps. It connects customers in Banki with multiple local restaurants and home kitchens through a single, seamless ordering experience.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights. We are committed to protecting your privacy and operate in compliance with Google Play's User Data Policy.

Information We Collect

The app itself does not collect or transmit personal information to AKCreation Apps independently. However, the following data interactions occur:

• Order data — your name, delivery address, menu selections, and contact number entered during the ordering process are handled directly by the respective partner restaurant's web service hosted at akcreation-apps.com.
• Restaurant listing data — the app fetches a publicly accessible list of partner restaurants (name, logo, hours, availability) from akcreation-apps.com/banki-bites-partners.json to display the home screen. No personal data is sent in this request.
• Cookies & session data — the app uses first-party cookies to maintain your login session within the ordering platform of each restaurant. Third-party cookies are disabled.
• Downloaded files — when you request a bill or invoice, the file is saved locally to your device's Downloads folder. This data never leaves your device via the app.
• Device information — standard browser/WebView metadata (e.g. User-Agent string) is sent to the web server as part of normal HTTP requests. No device identifiers are explicitly collected.

How We Use Your Information

• To display available partner restaurants and their current availability.
• To process and deliver your food orders through the selected restaurant.
• To maintain your session so you stay logged in between uses.
• To generate and allow you to download order invoices/bills.
• To send order-related WhatsApp notifications (only when you initiate contact).

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sell it to any third party.

Permissions Used

• INTERNET — required to fetch the restaurant listing and to load each partner restaurant's food ordering platform.
• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 9 and below only) — required to save downloaded bill PDFs to your Downloads folder. Not requested on Android 10 and above.

Cookies & Local Storage

The app enables first-party cookies so each partner restaurant's web service can maintain your login session and cart state between visits. Third-party cookies are disabled.

Cookies are stored only on your device and are cleared when you clear the app's data from your device Settings.

Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third party.

The app may open WhatsApp to facilitate communication with a restaurant. WhatsApp's own privacy policy governs any data shared through that service.

Google Play Services may collect analytics as part of the in-app update mechanism. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Data Security

All communication between the app and partner restaurant web services is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS). Cleartext HTTP traffic is blocked at the network configuration level. Downloaded files are stored in your device's standard Downloads folder and are protected by Android's file system permissions.

Data Retention

AKCreation Apps does not retain personal data on its own servers. Order history and account data are managed by each partner restaurant's web service and retained as necessary to fulfil orders and meet legal obligations. Cookies and local session data are retained on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the app.

Children's Privacy

BankiBites is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove that information.

Your Rights

• You may clear all app data (cookies, session, local storage) at any time via your device's Settings → Apps → BankiBites → Clear Data.
• You may request deletion of your order history by contacting us at the email below.
• You may uninstall the app at any time without penalty.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page will reflect the date of the latest revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
